Campus of National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi.

Notes:

The species is named after Alexander the Great, who is believed to have taken many of these birds from Punjab to various European countries.

Glad you like the photo, Ava. I have known a cow to come and stand by the handpump...and I have pumped the water for her to drink. This bird believes in self-help, apparently. :) I have recently begun a new Mission on Strange Situations...do contribute photos that might fit into this category.
