Field Notes

Description:

A tiny bird with dull olive-green on the back and Whitish below. The crown is yellow, orange centered in male (often hidden), bordered in black.

Habitat:

A widespread North American bird, breeding in many US states, and over much of Canada.

Notes:

As this bird is constantly on the move it is quite a challenge to photograph. I often hear them without being able to see them.

Nice shot - they are indeed difficult to photograph as they move about so much. I hadn't seen one with orange in the crown. Very nice!
