Description:

About 2.5cm / 1" long

Habitat:

Bushland along the Australian Eastern mainland seaboard and South Australia. This one was found in the yard of a small town near a national park.

Notes:

aka Splendid Ochre Skipper. Male and female look similar so I can not confirm gender of this spotting.

Thank you Danielle. I'll just double check that in my butterfly book. It has lot of pictures - not photographs - of skippers so this species name helps confirm any ID I make based on a picture. You are correct!
