Description:

A deep purple to blue wildflower in the family Ranunculaceae.

Habitat:

Spotted at about 3000 ft in the Cascade mountains in a moist meadow.

Notes:

All parts of the plant are toxic. The plant is most toxic when it is young.

Species ID Suggestions

Does not look like Aconitum sp to me; more like some of Delphinium species (also Ranunculacae)...
