Description:
Grackles are in the family of blackbirds and Orioles. They can look like large Blackbird species. There are 3 of the 10 species of Grackles in North America. Great-tailed is more wide spread. The Boat-tailed is mostly found in South east like Florida. Males are blue and green iridescent on the head portion and bronze from neck to tail. Tail is V shaped. Male and females have yellow eyes and juveniles have dark eyes.
Habitat:
Like other blackbirds they can be found almost every habitat. From fields, marshes, parks and where people are. I spotted them at gas stations and Coney Island.
