Field Notes

Description:

Unidentified Salticidae. This must be a juvenile Jumping Spider. It is so small that I had difficulty seeing it in the viewfinder of my camera. The photos are not well focused and that, of course, does not help when it comes to identification, but I am hopeful that I can find at least the Genus so that I can edit and improve this spotting.

Habitat:

This extremely small Jumping Spider was spotted on a Fragrant Premna (Premna odorata) in our backyard.

Notes:

The last photo is a less cropped image. If you are familiar with the Fragrant Premna, you will have a much better idea of how diminutive this Jumping Spider is.
