Field Notes

Description:

scarlet flowered vine

Habitat:

pacific coast rainforest

Notes:

Passionflowers are one of my favorite flowers and I was disappointed I didn't spot more of them in Colombia. This was the only one I spotted. It was growing high up on a tree and these were the best shots I could get. The flower resembles P. vitifolia, but the leaves (if they are the correct leaves, there was a lot growing around it) don't match, they are not lobed.
