Description:

The Common Basilisk is a lizard found in Central and South American rainforests near rivers and streams.The basilisk is part of the corytophanid family.

Notes:

Photographed via boat on the Panama Canal, while basilisks were quite common in Panama in the Canal district, they were normally apt to flee.
