Field Notes

Description:

Pigeon-like body contour with yellowish olive-green feathers, ashy crown. Lovely mauvish eyes.Although it is a sociable bird that travels in small flocks, it is near impossible to spot amongst the leaves, so well does its colour blend against the greenery.

Habitat:

On a Neolamarckia cadamba tree (the round fruits are eaten by many species of birds) by the side of one of the waterbodies near my home.

Notes:

It loves the sun.
