Field Notes

Description:

White filaments on the undersides of leaves on a hibiscus bush. They were very sticky. I don’t even know what grouping to put them in.

Habitat:

Under leaves on a hibiscus bush.

I will venture a somewhat-educated guess that it's some sort of a cocoon. It seems to be wrapped around the edges of the leaf or leaves, pulling it a bit closed (kinda like a taco shell) , and then there appears to be a more solid mass inside. Possibly the pupa? Anyone who knows otherwise, feel free to correct me! :)
