Field Notes

Description:

A light gray bird with a sharp black beak, black wings, and a white and black tail. Slightly larger than an American robin.

Habitat:

On the large rocks and in the evergreen trees atop Prospect Mountain, Estes Park, Colorado. Near the visitors center reached by lift cars.

Notes:

This bird was taking a share of the peanuts tourists threw to chipmunks in the area.
