Description:

About 3' long.

Habitat:

Leaf litter beside wooden boardwalk exit/entrance to parking lot at Washington Ditch in Great Dismal Swamp Wildlife Refuge.

Notes:

Non-venomous. A constrictor. Eats other venomous snakes, turtle eggs, lizards, small mammals. We picked it, learned about it, and returned it to the leaf litter.
