Field Notes

Description:

This beetle is 2 inches/5cm long from the curve of the antennae to the tail. This is the only one I have seen at my home at about 1150 meters elevation near Santa Cruz of Turrialba, Costa Rica. My Rainforest Publications Costa Rica Arachnids and Insects seems not to show it, so I have not identified. I would appreciate help with identity.

Habitat:

It was on the inside stucco wall of my open garage.
