Yes, definitely not a native columbine species. There are many commercial columbine varieties that come in shades of purple and pink. http://greennature.com/article142.html
I don't know where it came from. Have lived in same place the past few years and never saw anything like it before. It's by itself and had it not flowered so beautifully I would've taken it to be a weed.
