Description:

Burrowing Owls have bright yellow eyes; their beaks can be dark yellow or gray depending on the subspecies. Unlike most owls, Burrowing Owls are often active during the day. They bob their heads when agitated.
The nesting season begins in late March or April in North America. Their typical breeding habitat is open grassland or prairie

The Burrowing Owl is endangered in Canada,[13] threatened in Mexico, and a species of special concern in Florida and most of the western USA

Habitat:

This couple was found in a private park in Davie, Florida. They sometimes inhabit airport grasslands or golf courses.
