Field Notes

Description:

Drag tail spiders or scorpion tailed spiders may look similar to scorpions but are in fact spiders. They can be identified by their thin tail. They belong to a family of orb-weaver spiders.

Habitat:

They can be found on rainforest, tropical forests, or your backyard.

Notes:

At first site it looked like a yellow leaf dangling from a web but as I tried to move the leaf, it moved. I carefully removed it from its web to take a few pics then returned it unharmed.
