Field Notes

Description:

Gray head, whitish throat and chest, yellow belly. Dark line across eyes Bill is medium length but thick. Tail is black with white outer feathers. Behavior is aggressive towards other birds even raptors. I have seen a couple attack a bat once.

Habitat:

Mostly found in fields and open spaces, flat or hilly. Though these were seen near the roadside on barbed wire fences.

Notes:

There were large numbers of Kingbirds spaced along the road.
