Description:

Very common erect annual or perennial herb (1m.-2m. tall) with edible very palatable and nutritious leaves (despite their spines in the margin). One plant produces several flat-topped arrays of flower heads, each head containing numerous yellow ray flowers but no disc flowers.

Habitat:

Forest roadside in Seih-Sou, the suburban forest of Thessaloniki (Greece).
