Field Notes

Description:

Red-tailed Hawk nest. The nest was discovered miles out on a snow machine trail through the forest in an open area. Even though it is Spring, VT has tons of snow and it has been extremely cold and windy.

Notes:

Must go back to verify this is indeed a Red-tailed Hawk nest. The Red-tailed Hawk does stay year around. Poor bird.
