Description:

Size: domestic cat; golden/yellowish short coarse fur, mixed with some black hair on its back; two very prominent protruding upper teeth.
Photo taken en-route to Tso moriri Lake in Ladakh region of J&K, India.

Habitat:

Found throughout the Himalayas from Ladakh (J&K) through Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim to Arunachal Pradesh (3500 to 5200 m)
Mountain meadows, grassland and ares of low rainfall.
The area should have easy to burrowing/excavation soil or say land conditions

Notes:

They are one of the highest living, large-bodied ground squirrels of the world.
They hibernate during winter for a period of 6 to 7 months
