Description:

Small, very, very active bird...initially I thought it was a Prinia but now its tail is telling quite another tale and I need help with ID!

Habitat:

Hotel grounds in Guadalajara, Mexico. Such a wonderful place to see birds effortlessly.

Notes:

The first photo has been cropped. Not the other two.
Chose to go with this ID because " Bewick’s Wrens cock their long tails up over their backs..."

Bewick's Wren and White-bellied Wren look so similar but I think the way it is holding its tail it could be Bewick's Wren. Thank you Ava and Ornithoptera...you have been phenomenal...I could NEVER have got anywhere near the wren part of the ID by myself!!!

Sukanya, this could be a Bewick's Wren but the white over the eye isn't long enough, so I'm wondering if it's a juvenile or just a trick of the light. https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Bewicks_Wren/id#
