Description:
Tan woodpecker, with yellow tail, black speckles, and bit of red behind the head. The male (first 3 picture) has two black streaks, "mustache" running down its neck and the female (last 2) lacks these. This woodpecker is more likely found feeding on the ground unlike other woodpeckers.
Habitat:
open forest edge.
