Description:

Saw this Caterpillar on the forest floor, black in colour with intense red markings.

After posting this find to Philippines Lepidoptera Group, I was told this is the first recorded image of the Larva/Caterpillar of Indian Fritillary, Argynnis (formerly Argyreus) hyperbius.

Habitat:

High altitude montane forest
