Description:
Cluster of cream flowers with yellow centers on erect stem. Long, linear basal leaves.
Habitat:
Blooms in wet meadows and hillsides. Sighting in a flat meadow at low elevation next to Columbia River. Catherine Creek Natural Area, Washington.
Notes:
Poisonous plant. It is not closely related to, nor (in bloom) does it resemble, the common camas (Camassia quamash) whose bulbs were a staple food for native American tribes along the Columbia.
