Description:

Bubulcus ibis, the Cattle Egret, is a bird first documented in the United States in 1941. It is native to Asia. Since it began nesting in 1953, Bubulcus ibis has become one of the most common egrets in North America. The common name refers to the behavior in which the Cattle Egret follows behind cattle which turn up insects for it to eat.

Habitat:

Marshlands by road near Orlando, Florida.
