Field Notes

Description:

Light tan moth with reddish-brown on most of the outer wings except for semi-circle around the head and 2 wavy brown lines crossing the wings and 2 dark brown eye spots.

Habitat:

Semi-rural yard in an ecotone between a mowed fescue lawn and mixed hardwood forest, attracted to mothing lights on a sheet.
