Description:
Left pane, the reddish bloom of the thistle, Center pane, shows the 4 foot height of the plant with dark green, coarsely lobed leaves. Right pane, the large purple flower, about 4 inches across. This flower head can contain up to 120,000 seeds. Also known as Musk Thistle.
Habitat:
Grassy meadow.
Notes:
This is an invasive plant.
