Field Notes

Description:

Long red legged bird. Yellow head and yellow waddle under chin. Black patch on top of head.Grey coat with white chest. Round black eyes.

Habitat:

In grassy area near beach and on beach. Flying Fish Point , Queensland, Australia

Notes:

This bird was scratching and stomping the grass and picking little morsels to eat. After a while a group of the same birds flew over and while making a hell of a racket ( High pitched screaming and squeaking noises ) it flew a bit with its group and returned around the same area but now landed on the beach.
