Description:

Size from 1/8 - 3 1/2 inches, the Ground Beetles have head narrower tan thorax. thorax narrower than abdomen- long legs with prominent mouth parts. This one has a very pretty purple thorax and a purple tinge on the black body.

Habitat:

moist areas. all habitats
