Field Notes

Description:

Garut- West Java, Indonesia. (1300m osl)

Around 1 metre long. Black/ blue colouration - completely white ventral side.

Was aggressive when disturbed (and almost ran , cycling it's body in two halves!).

Habitat:

Village of submontane forest.
1300m above sea level.
Found in our toilet and chased us through the house to reside under our rice cooker.

Notes:

Believe it is a Malayan Krait, and would like to know as the local children were seen trying to look for it after we released in a nearby bush.
Don't want any casualties (snake or children!)
