Field Notes

Description:

A drab brown bird with streaking on the belly. Males have a red head and chest, but this guy was more orange. He was the prettiest house finch I had ever seen!

Habitat:

Found throughout much of North America, commonly in residential areas. There were a dozen or so of these hanging out at the feeders in Palo Duro Canyon SP
