Description:

A vining milkweed, An Endangered species in Florida.

Deciduous vine produces a milky sap when a twig is broken. Blooms occur in late-spring to early summer- a rich burgundy-red. Pollinated by beetles, then produces the typical elongated milkweed pod and the. fluffy milkweed seed

Habitat:

I found these in the Silver Springs State Park, but am keeping the location to myself as it is an Endangered species.
