Description:

Hard to figure out whether a Kingbird family or phoebe family.

Habitat:

foothills of Mt Diablo.

Too early for immature. They only just arrived in the past few weeks. If you want an Ash-throated go to Mitchell Canyon. They are all over. Their sound is very unmistakeable. They tend to sit up straighter than this bird. Say's is more quiet.
Not sitting for an Ash-throated. It looks like a Say's
livan, I think that you are right. Looks like an immature.
Could be an Ash-throated Flycatcher too maybe? Bill looks very thin for kingbird to me.
