Description:

Cardinal Flower is a perennial herbaceous plant, which grows up to 4 ft tall. It's found along stream banks and near swamps. The leaves are broad and have a toothed margin. The flowers are usually vibrant red and deeply five-lobed

Habitat:

Spotted at Bent of the River Audubon in Southbury, CT.
