Field Notes

Description:

This bamboo was about 4 meters tall. Its 8-centimeter wide trunk was very strong and very green. The branches were located at the very top (picture 2) and the leaves had an opposite arrangement.

Habitat:

This was found in a secondary rainforest near Singapore American School on a rainy day. It was given shade by medium-size trees above it.
