Description:
The branches of this fungi are 1-5 mm thick. The fruiting body can be up to 12 cm tall, 10 cm wide and tends to be brittle or fragile, however specimens have been found that are mor pliable. The color is generally a shade of white, sometimes displaying a more pink color as they age. The base can be up to 3 cm long and 1 cm wide.
Habitat:
This fungi grows terrestrially or rarely from well decayed wood; singly ior in groups in forests. Those pictured here were found very near the Peruvian border in the Amazon rainforest of SE Ecuador. They were growing from a hardwood trunk that had been cut down some time ago.
