Description:
This small bird is a typical warbler, a bit smaller and less round than a house sparrow, common and widespread. Sexes are similar, and both sport grey-brown back and white unnderparts, and darker grey mask covering from the crown til under the eyeline
Habitat:
Here, seen close to border with Russia, in a very cold valley, surrounded by a very tall Caucasus mountain peaks, some of which reach over 5000m. The valley, regularly beaten by harsh winds, is on some 1900m of altitude and composed of coniferous or thorny-shrub groves and patches of montane grasslands and barren rocks.
