Description:

A very demure little wildflower endemic to only 3 counties in Florida.... Marion, Levy, and Sumter. Known in only 10 populations, it is an Endangered species.

Growing to only 8" tall, leaves about 1" long, of a rich shiny green. The flower is a bright white, - possibly with pale lavender overtones- with five flaring petals. (My photo doesn't do it justice.)

Habitat:

Mesic hardwood hammocks. As this is so rare, I am keeping the exact location secret. (It's in Marion County, but that's as far as I am willing to say.)
