Description:

This was a huge Giant Clam fossil stuck in the ceiling of a cave. The size of the Giant Clam is around 1 meter. The altitude where the cave is located is around 100 masl, so you can imagine thousands of years ago, this cave system was under the sea!

Habitat:

Found in a cave system that are coral reef system

Thanks, @Leuba. Am not sure myself what those dark specks are, but most likely they are also corals. There were many different coral fossils in the cave but I didn't bother to take their pictures as I doubt they could be identified, whereas this Giant Clam was clearly a Giant Clam :D
