Field Notes
Description:
The flowers of this plant resemble that of the white snakeroot or thoroughwort but the leaves, which are alternate and slender, somewhat resemble that of late goldenrod. The flowers do have a nice mild fragrance to them. They stand 3-4' amidst bunched of tall grasses, milkweed, and joe pye weed.
Habitat:
They were spotted close to some railroad tracks in an area that may have had a lot of coal and coke spilt and dumped in prior decades. They were in a full sun environment.
