Field Notes

Description:

Saw lots of this Whip Spider or Cave Spider in a Cave. They are quite big in size, body around 3 cm with long claws and legs.
Pics#1, #2 and #3 shows a Female carrying her babies on her back, and they are green in colours.
Pics#4 & #5 shows another one eating another Whip Spider, looks like they are Cannibals. I was told that even the Mother Spider, once the babies left her back, they are fair game and she may feed on them too!

Habitat:

Found inside a cave

Thanks, @MrsPbio, am not sure if they glow in UV light. I have made an order for UV light and hopefully in the future, I will be able to find out :D
Q: Do these "glow in the dark" (fluoresce) under a blacklight like scorpions do?
OOooh I love these creatures! I'm jealous. :)
Thanks, @LaurenZarate. Just nice for Mother's day post :D
That is really neat Albert! I didn't know they carried their babies around like Wolf Spiders! And I never saw a green one. And green babies! Ours here in Chiapas that live in the interiors of the Mayan ruins in Yaxchilan are black and grey and also with banded legs. Really scary looking things.
