Field Notes

Description:

Aka death's-head hawkmoth, identified by the vaguely skull-shaped pattern adorning the thorax

Habitat:

Maastricht, The Netherlands: It was sitting there, outside our main entrance of our home.

Notes:

It sat on the tiles outside our door under the bright lights. Maybe it was resting, warming up under the lights, before heading back down South?
