Description:

This beautiful plant appears as a kind of succulent that leads towards looking like a cabbage. Its leaves are green with folded pink/red tips(spring). The flowers sit high above the plant on tall flowering stems and are vividly red and well spaced giving a captivating spectacle for the eye.
It is a solitary succulent that develops slowly but as is shown in this case can have a large rosette.

Habitat:

Semi arid regions as well as Mediterranean rain fall climates. it should be noted that it is a regular product in nurseries and finds itself in homes and gardens through out the Cape.
