Field Notes

Description:

Obviously a frog of some sort. Quite large, but I wouldn't say HUGE. It never moved, so I'm afraid I can't give an accurate estimate of the size.

Habitat:

Water at the bottom of Devil's Millhopper State Park, a HUGE sinkhole in Gainesville, Florida. (Very cool place... it actually sunk twice!)

Species ID Suggestions

American bullfrog

Lithobates catesbeianus
