Description:

A 5mm fly carrying 3 external parasitic mites on its thorax. Looks like a Limoniinae cranefly with shorter legs compared to most craneflies.

Habitat:

Found resting on the white wall of the lodge, attracted to the building's night lights in the tropical lowland rainforest of Tawau Hills Park, Sabah, Malaysia (Borneo).
