Description:

Adult viper with length of approx. 40 cm, lying in front of a crevice sunbathing. Has swallowed a mouse or small bird or so not so long ago.

Habitat:

rocky mountainous area's

Notes:

was brought to the attention of the viper by the alarm of many birds, especially by a white crowned black wheatear, hovering around and above the crevice.
