Field Notes

Description:

A medium size butterfly with bright golden yellow to orange with black markings on the top of the wings. There are silvery spots on the underside of the lower wings.

Habitat:

Spotted nectaring on wildflowers along the N. Wenas road in the Cascade foothills.
