Field Notes

Description:

Small. Mostly white with uneven dark blotches.

Habitat:

My rooftop terrace. It was smack in the middle of the terrace as I went to water the plants. The inside was still sticky as if the egg had just hatched. Or may be it was a thieving bird that cracked and ate it as an early breakfast.

Notes:

There are so many birds around me that lay eggs with dark markings like this one...crows for example. But this is a small egg...maybe Oriental magpie Robin?
