Description:

Teeny tiny, growing in open dry grassland path, a few of these growing near each other, coarse spikes. I keep checking them to see if they get any bigger, but doesn't seem to. There is a stem base.

open dry grassland path of Floyd Bennett Field

I don't know what it is.
