Field Notes

Description:

super exited to find this nest of a common moorhen. In the second picture you can see the mother hiding from me... tought I could sneek up to it and make a picture if her incubating the egg.... that didn't work.

Habitat:

The common moorhen lives around well-vegetated marshes, ponds, canals and other wetlands.

Notes:

The common moorhen can have up to twelve eggs. This nest only had one, but a few days later it had more.
